Our Pastor
A letter from our pastor
As pastor of FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH I want to invite you and your family to enter into His gates with thanksgiving and worship Jesus Christ with us. We’re excited, God is moving people here! We would love for you to be part of this exciting time in the life of the church, so please consider this invitation!
If you do not already have a church home, please consider worshiping with us. We are a friendly congregation which includes people of all ages and backgrounds that comfortably worship and work together. My hope as pastor is that you will feel and experience the presence of the Holy Spirit each time you visit. We have Sunday School for all ages and an active youth program, as well as, several programs for adults and families.
Prayerfully, we’ll greet you at the doors of His sanctuary each Sunday as you walk into His presence and worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with us.
If you would like more information about our church, I would be pleased to answer any questions you might have.
Seek the Lord and find Him when you search for Him with “all” of your heart (Jer. 29:13). In the early church; day after day they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ. We, at Fellowship Baptist are shouting from the rooftops that Jesus is the Christ. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life and no man come unto the Father, but by me.”
May we all continue to seek the grace and presence of our loving Savior Jesus Christ. May the Spirit of God, the unity and love of this Church Body be poured out throughout this community. Need a ride? Call a number below.
Seeking him daily,
Pastor Lynn
My journey
1991 - 1993
I totally surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and to the ministry in the year of our Lord. Not long after took a mission trip to Haiti and that was an eye opening and heart gripping experience.
1993 - 1994
In 1993-1994 took some advance Theological Education classes at the Billy Graham School of Evangelism in North Carolina and was a supply preacher up until 1994 in the Mercer County area.
1994 - 1998
In 1994 my family and I moved to Western Kentucky so that I could attend Mid-Continent Baptist Bible College in Mayfield, Kentucky. Shortly after enrolling into collage I was called to pastor Bethlehem Baptist in Wickliffe Kentucky. From 1994-1998, successfully acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education and Psychology.
1998 - 1999
In 1998 spent three week at the Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem acquiring 4 college credits.
1999 - 2006
Leaving Bethlehem Baptist church in 1999; my family and I joined the International Mission Board. We moved to Amman, Jordan to where we spent the next nine years. Many hours in Jordan and Israel were spent on independent studies.
2006 - 2008
During 2006 and 2008 I worked on a Master’s of Divinity Degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary which I have not completely finished.
2008 - 2016
In December of 2008 my family and I returned to the states to pastor First Baptist Wickliffe. We spent the next eight years with this great congregation.
2009 - 2011
From 2009-2011, I successfully acquired a Master’s Degree in Theology from MTC School of Theology.
2016
Resigning First Baptist Wickliffe in March of 2016 my family and I returned to Harrodsburg, Kentucky on behalf of family sickness.
2017-Present
In April 2017 I became interim of Fellowship Baptist Church. In September of 2017 I was called to become pastor and lead the congregation of Fellowship Baptist.
What a journey it’s been! What education I have acquired is nowhere in comparison to the experiences my Lord has taken me through. All praise is to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
